Mobile Pet Spa was there.Thank you to everyone who attended Bow Wow Beverly Hills on October 30th. It was a howling success!! The Amanda Foundation wouldn’t be what we are today without our incredible supporters and volunteers, so thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! We also owe an enormous thank you to Bill Wiley at 2 Rodeo Management, Tiffany & Co., Porsche Design, Westime, Serapian, for their generous support and Crossroads for the delicious buffet!! And lots of love to Luciana Paluzzi, our very own Bond girl from Thunderball!
As always, the Doggy Costume Contest was the crowd favorite, with Ginger taking first prize as OctoPittie! And though there could only be one winner, there were almost too many amazing doggy costumes to count!

The Holidays Are Here, so many reasons to be happy
A truly tremendous time was had by all. So many reasons to be proud and grateful to announce that the ASPCA has granted The Amanda Foundation $50,000 for use with our Spaymobile program. Because of this funding, thousands of unwanted litters will not be produced only to end up in shelters or on the streets, and families without access to a Veterinarian will be able to make sure their furry companions get medical…
It’s that time to spend with your family and one family member that you need to watch around your dinner table, your Christmas Tree and your guests is your pet! And here are some tips on how to have those wonderful moments with your pet this 2021 Holiday Season!
1. Get some holiday treats for your pets ( be careful that your pet does not ijest something that it should )
2. No turkey bones, chicken bones, onions , garlic ( especially,since pet’s livers are very sensitive and cannot digest garlic, it damages the liver), no sweets or spices of any kind.
3. Boiled beef, chicken or chicken / beef livers are good ( tip: mix it with boiled rice and it is a delicacy.) . Jerky treats are good.
4. When have a gathering make sure your pet have a safe area to retreat to, in case of stress, amy be a separate room, or a bed, crate, crate mat, somewhere to lay down and relax may be.
5 When playing with your pet make sure to protect your Christmas Tree in case your pet can knock it down, it can cause, damage lights, decorations and glass windows around ( watch for small children as well).
Pets In Need
So many reasons to be grateful these Holidays, but please, DON’T FORGET ABOUT PETS IN NEED.
You can donate to your local pet shelter, adopt a doggie or a homeless kitty, or share our page with your friends so they can find the resources to adopt.
Don’t shop for pets , you can give someone a pet as a gift for the holidays, a saved life adopted from a local shelter . There are so many cute faces looking for loving homes . Remember, you adopting a living being, if you live in a rental know the rules, amy be your significant other is allergic ( as some people are only allergic to certain dogs or cats), so there is a low or none return rate for these animals back to shelter, it causes major stress for them As of December 2021 the return rate is under 10% locally.
When there are returns it’s is very traumatic for the family and an animal, so we want quality adoptions . All you need is a happy soul in your life, the one that loves you unconditionally, regardless, and we have a lot in common believe it or not.
The adoptions fees that you pay are used for vaccinations, spraying and neutering, food, caring, medical care and microchip if you have ever wondered. Make sure you adopt!That is the way to go, adapting your forever friend, you literally saving a life. Monetary donations are always welcome, make sure it is a reputable organization and the donations are used appropriately! Many of them are looking for volunteers to help around the shelter. Just ask!
